Objective & History

Objective

Korea Automobile Insurance Repair Research & Training Center, KART, has been established in order to improve benefits for insurance policy holders and insurance companies as a subsidiary of Korea Insurance Development Institute, KIDI. KART also contributes to the development of the insurance market through various activities, such as research on vehicle safety to mitigate personal injuries from traffic accidents, research on damageability and repairability of vehicles to reduce repair cost, research on repair time to maintain reasonable insurance repair cost, development of repair cost estimating & claim processing system for the effective claim process and training for insurance engineers on automobile technology and estimating, etc.
